7. Looking bach at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?
Task 7: Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?
I think I learned a lot of the preliminary and the main product. I never had thinking how much work it is behind an opening scene. The working it out in my group was very interesting and a lot of work. But when I know look to the Thriller again I’m proud of it and I am happy to say it is finish. The whole filming and editing thinks was all new for me and I did my best to help my group. The experience to make my own thriller was great.
The Prelim Task was very easy and we don’t have to find out a story and had all the research. We made a storyboard and that was it. The main one was much more difficult because we had to think also about lighting and costume and pots. On the prelim task we didn’t had to think about the costume about light. Because all light we did was normal light in the room. When we made a bit lighter we used a desk light to make lighter. We also didn’t had to do now sound we used the sound we get in the room and did nothing which it. Against to our main task we had a lot of sound and also we worked out the lighting as well the special effect to coulourright the scene to make it look like a 60’s studio.
To work in our main part the story out and make the audience get an idea about the story even there is no speaking in it. We also had to make a storyboard to have all information in it and work out where we make lighter or how we will film which shots we would use it and make it look like an opening scene with information but not the all of the story in it. In the prelim task was not so much work to work out the story because we get the story from our teacher. We didn’t have to think much of the shots because we had to make all to improve the ones. We just had to decide in which place we want to have for example the close up to the eyes shot.
As I said on the main part we had to make an opening scene without speaking but the audience have to get the idea what is the film about and how it works just in the 2 minutes. The hardest part is to get this done and have a story which will interest the audience to watch the film. At the prelim task we didn’t had to think about how to make the movie without speaking because we was allowed to put speak in it. It wasn’t really difficult to do this.
Using the Camera was not that difficult. The changing how it was improve was very good to see. The prelim was not good. The shots was all wiggly and not very well done because we haven’t sometime not all in there what we want as well that we didn’t really had a good sound so that it sounds real.
For our main task we had a long shot where we see the office and we did it in one shot so it was a long shot. The difficult think on there was that we had to move the camera without having wiggly in it. To shot the dance scene was not that difficult because we just had to take the camera backwoods so we didn’t have wiggly in it.
In our Main task we have a lot of sound in it. We have different songs from Marilyn Monroe and also we had in the dance scene to put people noises in it. The difficult thing was there that we had to make the sound like the way the lips move. That was really difficult and takes us a lot of time. But we did it really great.
In the prelim task we had no sound in it and we didn’t have to make sound on it. The only sound on it was the speaking bits. We didn’t have to work on the sound in this task.

4. Who would be the audience for youe media product?
Our media product is for teenagers which are interesting at Marilyn. It is also for older audience because Marilyn was very famous in the 60’s which make a bigger audience to go and watch it. The other advantage is that the death of Marilyn is interesting very one because it is never really found out. There are no really definitions between why rich or poor people would not look at it. It will be interesting poor as well rich.
The audience have to be a little bit to Educated because other wise they wouldn’t understand the movie. They also would need general educated to understand all the cohesion about Marilyn and the other story. But I think the movies will anyway just looking people which are interesting on Marilyn and therefore there will be no problem that people wouldn’t understand the film.
It is important that you have a good research for your audience to get the results you want to have. The other point is that you can than if you have a good research to work which them and also get the advertising there where the audience would go and looked the advertising. For example you wouldn’t put your advertising for old people into a bus station but you would if your main audiences are younger one.
My main audience are younger and older ones so I have very big opportunities where I can put and sell my advertising. I could start which putting posters in shops like top shop or in a shopping centre which is good known. And the main point in this are the bus stops and bus because my main audience will going by bus which means they will look at my advertising.
The next part my trailer will be go on youtupe and TV. There are some good reason because my audience would go into the internet very day ( at work/ school / free time ) therefore they will have a look at it. In TV are different companies where I can bring my trailer on it. I have to put them on a new and fresh as well on a older one where are news and documenting shows. For a young audience I could use Gossip girl or sec and the city. For the older one I can use the documentaries and the new.

In one Media lesson we were thinking which companies are the best for our media product. We were thinking which would be worked best and which will be the best to fit into our product. We also had to think about which companies had the image to work which this kind of image our media product will be. Our teacher gives us three possible companies which are three different types of producing films. We had “ New Line Cinema “ , “ Lionsgate” and “Fox Searchlight Pictures” as a choice.
My group choose “ Fox Searchlight Pictures” as our company because they will be worked best with our media product. Fox Searchlight Pictures do always horror , dramedy as well non- English speaking films. We thought that the type of horror will fit very good to our product. The Company did the Hills Have Eyes which was a remade form Wes Craven’s in 1977 film of the same name. It is also a horror film and the same as our film would be that we didn’t need much advertising for the films because of the known before. In the film did the Hills Have Eyes they had before the story so some had heard about it therefore they didn’t need much advertising. In our film it would be as well because our film it based on a real story and there are many fans from Marilyn Monroe which want to see it just because they think they would be get a clearly answer why she died. We also have the pretties women in it so every one will watch it. So we choose that the best worked Company would be Fox Searchlight pictures.
