Marilyn Monroe Thriller

Our Shoot day began at 8.50 pm like the lesson began. We wanted to film in the studio so we can have a realistic looking office. The walls were there so we didn’t worried about the walls. We have to stand the desk in the right place and put the photos on the wall. The planning for this day was not so good because we thought that we filmed first the dance scene but Luke decide to film first the office shot because the red flow we needed for the film from dements are the best girl’s friends are red and the office are not red. So we put one side with the good Marilyn and the other one with the bed Marilyn. Also we had to find the DVD’s which we want to play but that was not really difficult. The only think was that on the camera you could not listen to the music it was playing on the TV so not like we thinking we deceit to put the sounds later on it. The Office looked very similar to the original storyboard. The only think what was not so good was that we didn’t worked as a group. And if we had known that we start the shoot day which the office shot we would ready for this. The other think would be that we needed more picture as we thought but that we could not known in my opinion. The studio for our dance flow was better than we thought it was more looking more real that we thought and there wasn’t really problem which that. On the dance scene we did not have much to do because Luke and his crew have all done for us. And we count’s not really help them .


For the office shot we had a long and all in all shot. The Problem was there how fast we could go and that there were no stops in it. We had also a problem which the sound in the TV’s because there was a problem on it when you listen to the sound in the camera.. But we decided to put the sound after that on it which makes it easy to makes the sound great we thought. For the dance scene it was a little bit to many people so the problem there was that it was hard to concentrate and we want to have a wild shoot to see all in the shoot but the problem was that there was so many think we had to think about it like the studio looked like a 60 studios and not like 2010 studio. But than we put the camera right in the front and bring the camera back when we filmed. I like the shoot because it shows the hole set and you can see the actors on the scream.



The actors worked quiet well so that the big shoot was very early ready. We decided to do an other shoot where we see the director from Marilyn and the old camera in a shadow. The shots worked very well because we can put there some names in it.



As I said we filmed the shoot in the Studio which was very useful. In the studio we had the change to change the location quickly. It was also important that we had a very big and a wide room to film the dance scene. The advantage of choosing the studio was that we could paint the floor red for the dace scene. We also could have red light what was easy to have because of the studio light was available to take it easy without many circumstances.



The costume was difficult because we had to have 60’s looking outfits and the Marilyn Monroe pink dress from diamonds are the girls best friends. The problem there was to find someone where we could borrow the dress without play a lot for that. Heather and Gabby found one which was looking like the dress in diamonds are the girls best friend. For the dancer we ask if they have a black jacket with them and a white shirt. The hole scene had to look like a 60 ‘s studio with 60’s dresses and we also tried to look that the hair is also looking like a 60’s style. Marilyn Monroe become a pink make up and we had a hair we had unreal hair which makes it easy to look like the hair from Marilyn Monroe.



the casting choice was very easy because we had to need guys with dark hair and a Marilyn Monroe. The man to find with black hair what fast because we didn’t need the faces what was great. The only real problem there was that we didn’t know who could be out Marilyn Monroe but on the end of the day we had some on which was looking great and I think you can’t see that it isn’t the real one. All in one I can say that they worked quiet well and quick but the problem here was that we had to tell him where every single man are going and what they had to do. That was really exhausting for us. the Marilyn Monroe was very good we did not have to tell her all the time what she had to do. She did a great job. But all in one I think I can say that the actors worked very well and they helped us to get the best shoot.



The lighting knew problem for us. The point that we hade the studio was very helpful. For the office shoot it we had normal light that it looked very real and if we had much light the effect would be gone that there is someone working and the light make the shot worked. For the Dance shoot we had red light where we put special red paper on the light so we get the effect that the room is red and the walls are also red looking. We also have the kind of image that we are in a real studio.



We want to have a recording sound in the background at the office out the problem was that it was not working and the noises was so many that it would worked on the TV. The reason for that was that we have too many TV with many different sounds on it so that would be confused to the audience as well we were too. The Problem also was that it would be good quality on it. So we decided to do the sound afterwards.



I honest must say that I did more on the research and looking for the costuming and props staff for our thriller. On the actually shoot day heater and Gabby was more working because they know what we want for the shoot. I helped them where ever I could and not just sit around and wait what was happened. I think we worked quiet well as a group but we could have more a little bit more together and tell the other what they could do and that the other problem was that we not worked realty as a team because every one does his own work what I found good because it wouldn’t worked if we did every thin together so at the end of day we was quicker on which this. But all in one we worked quite well as the a group.
